Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

1. Non-Medical Service Declaration

Sahayata Life provides logistical and non-clinical hospital companionship services only. Our companions are trained hospital navigation escorts who assist with transportation, queue management, document handling, billing assistance, prescription pickup, and communication relay between the patient's family and the hospital.

Our companions do not provide medical diagnosis, clinical advice, nursing care in a clinical capacity, medication administration, or emergency ambulance services. All medical decisions remain solely with the treating physician and the patient's family. In a medical emergency, contact hospital emergency services or dial 108/112 immediately.

2. Platform Usage & Obligations

By registering for and using Sahayata Life, you agree to provide accurate patient information, honour confirmed bookings, and make timely advance payments as required. You acknowledge that companion availability is subject to demand and that Sahayata Life reserves the right to assign an alternate qualified companion if your preferred companion is unavailable.

NRI Family Care Plan subscribers agree to the monthly billing cycle associated with their selected plan tier. Pausing or cancelling a subscription can be done from the Family Dashboard at any time; refunds for partially used billing periods are not guaranteed.

3. Anti-Circumvention & Private Arrangement Clause

Hiring platform-introduced companions outside the platform terminates all safety verifications, emergency backup guarantees, and dispute support. The platform accepts zero liability for private arrangements.

All companions introduced through Sahayata Life are bound by our verification standards, insurance coverage, and quality protocols exclusively when engaged through the platform. Engaging a companion privately — whether by direct payment, informal agreement, or any arrangement that bypasses the platform — immediately voids all safety guarantees including police verification standing, background check validity, emergency companion backup, real-time visit tracking, visit report documentation, and access to the platform's dispute resolution process.

4. Companion Conduct & Verification

All companions undergo police verification, nursing qualification checks, and platform training before receiving active status. Companions are independent service providers, not employees of Sahayata Life. The platform facilitates matching, quality control, and payment processing.

Visit quality is verified through OTP-based check-in/check-out, real-time status updates, and mandatory post-visit reports. Companions who receive consistently low ratings may be retrained, suspended, or removed from the platform.

5. Limitation of Liability

Sahayata Life and its companions shall not be held liable for any medical outcomes, treatment decisions, clinical advice, hospital delays, or any adverse events arising from medical treatment. Our service scope is limited to non-clinical logistics and navigation assistance.

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that Sahayata Life's maximum liability for any claim arising from service provision shall not exceed the service fee paid for the specific booking in question.

Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Sahayata Life is a registered service of Sahayata Life Private Limited, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
